Recovery of an mmo junkie

As all otaku's and Weeboo's know that the dream job is to be a NEET and get money with out working a 9 to 5 job and this protagonist knows it too. Moriko Morioka nicknamed Mori mori she quits her job to become a high neet and ends up becoming a mmo junkie. one reason she able to do this is because she has a nest egg she saved up and is now tapping in to. she first try's to go on her favourite mmo game that she hasn't played in a year only to find out the game was no longer running, now finding her self playing a new mmo she decide to play a guy character (Hayashi) while her love interest plays  a female character named Lilly. Yuuta Sakurai (Lilly) takes pity on Mori mori (Hayashi) and teaches her all about the game, they hit of real well and made friends with  other player in the guild their in. so fare your probably think "ok this sounds like a normal romance anime but where is the twist" well here the tea that old game i mentioned before the one that no longer runs well she had a special and important relationship  another play similar to Lilly (Sakurai) and doesn't know what ever happened to him as well as that Lilly aka Sakurai is that important special friend. and this anime is about them finding each other again but they don't realise this and that they are fall for each other as they are both awkward both in and out the game. Sakurai i think and another character in this anime will agree with me on this but Sakurai really good at play Lilly as he natural feminine/princess guy personality which i love as his friend real know how to push that button and make him blush because of it. This friend of Sakurai called Koiwai also happens to know Mori mori and is the person who gave her that nickname. Watching this i kept forgetting to write notes on what i found interesting etc. so this blog might seem short but also cause it a 12 episode anime. I never heard about the term Greed censer when it comes to mmo game i mean i know what it means i just never put two and two together, if you don't know the example in the anime is one way to describe it, say your trying to summon a item or a character for the game your playing and you say  oh i will get the top prize or character your basically jinxing your self and the greed censer will punish you for it the censer is way too sensitive so be careful of what you say. I feel like this anime only focused on mori mori and Sakurai finding each other and the obvious attraction they have for each other they don't even start dating so i hope this means that someday there will be a seconded season and most defiantly make a OVA about their hot spring trip together with Koiwai who is playing the roll of match maker and parent. For this anime i didn't see that many anime reference just in episode 1 when Mori mori is making her avatar one of the hair choses look like Goku or Vageta hair style and in episode 10 you see a little monster that looks like the Pokémon called Cubone.

Heavens Memo Pad

The Neet life is the Dream life of every Otaku and this slice of life is an interesting way to live a neet life. This just so happens to be another slice of life anime that got me into the genre. Alice is a shut in neet  who runs a Neet Detective agency from her bedroom anything she needs done in the outside world she has her Neet assistant and detectives to do her bidding a military enthusiast, a host, a gambler, a sister of a neet that went missing. Though one of her employees isn't a proper neet because he attending collage but only for eight year so he can read all about military tactics. Alice's office/bedroom sit above a ramen and ice-cream shop owned by a women called mien (check name spelling). There is a difference between a normal detective and a neet detective, a normal detective eardrops and goes out on stake outs and gather information on foot to find out what they are hunting for but a neet detective can search the hole world for the truth from their bedroom with out stepping out of their room. As this is a twelve episode anime I thought I would put some of my favourite quotes from the anime as the writer in me hates writing only a little on my writing subjects.

"Neet is not a stereotype. It's a way of life" - Alice

"True detective work is beyond the general masses. After all, we're advocates for the dead. We dig up what was lost to the grave and hurt the living to defend the honour of the dead. And we humiliate the dead to comfort the living." - Alice

"what do you think killed the most people in history? It wasn't explosives or drugs. It was information. To know is to die." - Alice

"There are only two professions in the whole world that give meaning to those who have died and what have been lost... They're writers and detectives. Writers are the only ones able to revive what was lost through their visions. Detectives are the only ones able to dig up the grave and bring back lost information. But the information us detectives dig up is nothing more than the truth as recorded in Heaven's Memo Pad." - Alice

Barakamon

So I don't know if other people experience this but once upon a time I wouldn't watch a slice of life anime I was only wanting to watch anime that have a lot of action or more...complex story line but a couple of years ago I gave a few a try and lets just say I was defiantly missing out. Barakamon is one of the anime that I watch that change my mind on slice of life anime. Barakamon is about a Calligrapher ("the art of producing decorative handwriting of lettering with a pen or brush") even tough his work is text book perfect in every way he is still missing something his own style and his work also has no heart in it and his father says he is lacking something as a human. And when Seishu Handa nick name sensei punches the director (Big boss), his father exiled him to Fukuoka's country side village called Kijima his father believes this will help his son cool his head and help learn  his own style. Because of the incident with the director Handa get paralysed with fear which make him doubt his work even more than he usually do. Handa has a hard time relaxing and is always being serious and up tight. When he arrive at his new house he find out that the local kid were using it as a secret base and wear he meets Kotoishi Naru a child who I believe is a orphan living with her granddad. Naru I think is Sensei key item to help him find his way to his own style and open up socially. Naru and sensei are like a comedy duo there is always something to laugh at. A interesting thing I notice in the back ground their is a poster in top right hand corner of man who looks like Marilyn Manson episode one time stamp 10:34. Also in episode one Naru show you a good swimming technique with a t-shirt when your swimming with a top on with one hand hold down the neck line then with the other hand grab the bottom of your top and pull it up in till it out of the water to let the air in as you pull it down and then hold it in place by doing this it turns your top into a floaty to help you swim around or take a brake and just float there.

Now I don't think this is a Naruto reference or not as it could just be a little boys game but there was a thousand years of pain but stab, there also reference to attack on titian and Dragon ball. If you like cats there is a episode with 30 stray kitten witch sensei love the only problem is he's is deathly allergic to them and forgot. Sensei always getting sick because he gets so into his work, getting low blood pressure, heatstroke, dehydration, sleep deprived, malnutrition. The way you can tell he in workaholic mode his looks and sounds like he's going mad. Handa is one of those people who not good with technology he's constantly breaking stuff like his computer, phone and  bath heater he also sucks at sports. If you are a fujoshi (Fujoshi a female who finds a liking towards novels or manga portraying love between males. <related> BL (Boys love), Yaoi, Fudanshi ) there is a lot of fujoshi moments. (this anime isn't a BL anime) there is a girl who refuse to admit she is one. Lastly I love the manga artist  drawing technique in this anime also there is a pre squeal anime called Handa-kun.

Ultimate Otaku Teacher

Ultimate otaku teacher is a interesting and relatable anime though saying that pretty much all anime is like that the only
difference is us as you know not everyone likes the same anime so it just my opinion. This anime about a shut in otaku who is forced into a teacher job by his young sister, each episode a different lesson by this otaku teacher Junichirou Kagami though the anime would be boring if it just a normal everyday lesson you experienced at your own school, nope this is a otaku teacher so he use the anime he and us all love to teach each student. Thought while watching it I thought about if this anime could teach a norme (none otaku) but I suppose it more on the lines of teaching otaku newbies. In anime you know you get tips and otaku life hacks in episode two when buying new anime or a anime that been out for a while and your wanting to buy it check out where you can buy it as you might get a bonus or limited edition item by buying it at a shop like a figurine or a poster, also check for collectors edition where you can get thing like posters, keyrings, artbooks which sometimes are designed as a prop from the anime like grimoire. Some anime references I notice are Attack on titian, dragon ball z and he-man I love how you can see other anime in different anime's through references like a character acting like Goku from dragon ball z or quoting anime. It like finding out your favourite author like the same anime as you.

Junichirou Kagami has a Debilitating disease called YD it a illness in which only allows you to do the things you Yearn to do but normies will never understand this as they will just call you lazy.

Otaku lessons
Lesson 1 "Don't act because something is interesting, but act because you want to find something more interesting."
Lesson 2 "Just like games, no matter how well you have things lined up in your life, there's always something to keep you on your toes."
Lesson 3 "You can't win a game by doing nothing. And if someone else wins it for you then you haven't accomplished anything. Life is the same way."
Lesson 4 "The school takes no responsibility of your future. You are fully responsible for your own future. That is why you have to find what you want to do. You are all free!"
Lesson 5 "The real fun is in constantly pushing beyond your limits. So if you're thinking of everything as a game, you won't be able to fully experience it." (Games limit you eventually. But life itself is limited only to how far you want to go.)
Lesson 6 "Live by your own rules. And have reality accept your own rules. If you are able to do that, the future is all yours."
Lesson 7 "Don't think that by abiding the rules you'll automatically be useful to society. Rules are not there for us, they are there for the "person who made it" and the "reality" and "future", which are bound by these lies. They are preventing you from reaching your full potential. Which is why, if there is a future that you want, fight for it!"
Lesson 8 "Your own feelings are the most important when it comes to enjoying the interesting things in life. if you just follow what someone else says to do, or just do what you're told, you won't even be able to enjoy the things you like."
Lesson 9 "No matter where you are, you have to have the energy to keep on doing the things that you like until the final moment."
Lesson 10 "Games aren't meant for competition. They're things to master."
Lesson 11 "If your world has no heroes, become one."
Lesson 12 (The final lesson and my personal favourite)"You don't act because you think it fun, rather you discover fun things though action, this world is full of treasures to find, that why you don't have a seconded to spare on things you don't love."

Himouto! Umaru-chan Season 1 (Genre: Comedy, Slice of life)

Genre: Comedy, Slice of life
Himouto! Umaru-chan is an anime about a girl named Umaru who is a closeted otaku, living with her older brother who is the only one who knows the real her as her "public face" is the perfect high school girl, all the girl want to be her and all the guys want to date her. Her perfect school girl routine seen by everyone keeps evolving with rumours of her being a rich girl who likes to read poetry in her luxury library, her father is a ceo of a major company and her brother is a famous actor. she has three personas Perfect school girl, otaku/gamer Umaru, fake little sister Umaru named kumaru there might be a possible fourth persona because Umaru's brother Taihei calls her a Himouto which mean dried fish little sister it is a combo of "himono-onna" meaning "dried-fish women" who is normal in public but is lazy at home and imouto means "little sister" but can also mean "worthless lazy-bum sister". One of the reason I love this anime is this anime tips/otaku hacks you get. In episode 1 Umaru buys snacks: potato chips, chocolate bamboo shoots, pudding, cheesy cod fish, dried squid and cola as centre piece of her banquet and explain the situation in which these snack are perfect for as apparently there are certain snack for different otaku occasion. so with these snacks she decides on anime/movie dvd combo. These are the step for this banquet:
Step 1 Room must be dark turn of lights and close your curtains.
Step 2 Place snacks in front of you and your pillow if you are deciding to lay down and watching the anime/movie.
Step 3 Don't go for the cola just yet start with opening you choice of chips/crisp and sweet item
Step 4 Alternate between the potato chips/crisp and the sweets this way you can enjoy them without getting bored of eating them it good combo.
Step 5 As sweet ant salty thing dry your mouth it is the perfect time to drink and replenish your palette with your fizzy drink.
Step 6 Repeat.
Step 7 Then if you finish the chips/crisp and sweets and are still watching your anime movie grab another pairing that goes with
your fizzy drink.
Another reason I like this anime is Umaru reads a manga called Jun piece which is our version of One piece which is my favourite anime to watch and the anime that means so much to me. If you are new to anime it is quite common to see word play on anime like that or sometime in chapter art a character from another anime is seen in the chapter art, one comes into mind is one piece vol. 77 chapter 766 smile, where you can see Nami wearing a the hidden leaf ninja logo dress and sitting be hind her is Naruto eating with Luffy. I have found a few anime reference in the books and collection Umaru has there's:
Figure's - Hatsune Miku figure, Chopper from One piece figure,
manga's - death note, Naruto, One Punchman and assassination classroom,
Games - final fantasy, Pokémon, street fighter, monster hunter, game of life, Donkey Kong, Ace Attorney.
If I miss any either cause I didn't know the anime or just missed it please comment.
Gamer UMR (Umaru) is famous at her local arcade, the manager and staff are in constant battle with the unbeatable UMR. They're constantly trying to sabotage the games UMR plays.
In episode 5 Umaru gives you advice/tips on her bathing time Umaru style (bath):
Step 1 items needed bath table, shaved ice, Potato chips/crisp, manga, hand game device in a sealed bag, fizzy bath bomb (it wasn't made clear if the fizzy thing was a bath bomb or not).
Step 2 start your gaming device that is in a sealed bag.. (gaming while in a bath is great for you hardcore gamer because this way you don't waste time) ((be carful not sure if this actually works as this is the anime world were talking about))
Step 3 while the game loads read some of the manga you chose and grab some potato chips/crisp (eating potato chips/crisp while bathing means you wont get dirty)
Step 4 now eat some shaved ice ( I don't real under stand why eating ice in a hot bath would be any good but Umaru said it apparently melts your day away.
Step 5 finish of with cold fizzy drink which i think is Umaru's version of cold milk after bathing so any cold drink might work if your not into the other two.
Strange things i have noticed in this season which is only two things, which are in episode one when Umaru and Taihei are a the pet shop in a flash back and Umaru what looking at her hamsters there is a monkey, why a monkey is it a inside joke cause I doubt they actually sell monkey in Japanese pet shop lol. The other thing is cat face man who is a closeted manga author is that a random thing or this anime's author or someone else as i know some manga author's put them selves or there team in their anime. Just googled cat face man his name is Sankaku Head and he or she is a real person the original creator of the manga Himouto! Umaru-chan. which make me wonder if Umaru is some what biased on Sankaku head.

Other Characters in Himouto! Umaru-can
Taihei Doma - is Umaru older brother who is workaholic with no hobbies, I think he could have one if he wasn't a workaholic as he seems to be interested in cooking and love cats, When is comes to Umaru he is a push over.
Kirie Motoba - Is a shy and socially awkward girl obsessed with chibi Umaru and fake Umaru its possible that she has a Lolita complex.
Nana Ebina - is Umaru's and Taihei neighbour and friend who is a secret country bumpkin but loses her fake accent when she gets excited or nervous. She also has a big time crush on Umaru brother Taihei.
Sylphynford Tachibana - is also closeted otaku but only to her brother and believes the only way she can make friends though challenges and beating them.
Alex Tachibana - is Sylphynford older otaku brother and is Taihei co-worker/friend who is constantly getting viruses on his work computer because he on adult websites.
Takeshi Motoba - is Kirie older brother and Taihei co-worker and childhood friend. I don't know if it just me but i think he has a sister complex. He is also constantly getting beat up by his sister.
